A few things worth knowing before you head outside ☀️
Hey {{first_name}}, July is peak sun season - and whether you're planning a beach trip, spending weekends outdoors, or just walking to lunch, it's worth taking a few minutes to think about sun safety before you head out. This isn't a lecture. Just a few practical things that make a real difference: Check the UV index before you go out. Most weather apps show it. Anything above 3 means protection is recommended. Above 6, it's important. Most summer afternoons in North America sit between 7 and 10. Plan accordingly. Reapply sunscreen more than you think you need to. Every two hours minimum. Every hour if you're swimming or sweating. SPF 30 or higher. Don't forget your ears, the back of your neck, and the tops of your feet. Find shade between 10am and 2pm. UV radiation is strongest during these hours. If you're spending time outside, this window is worth being mindful of. Drink more water than feels necessary. Sun and heat dehydrate you faster than you expect, especially if you're active. Wear the hat. You know the one. It's not a fashion statement, it's a smart move. Also a reminder: if you have wellness benefits through [Company], many include sunscreen, UV-protective clothing, or outdoor gear reimbursements. Check your benefits portal to see what's available to you - a lot of people don't realize it's there. Take care of yourself out there. ☀️ - The People Team
